Silhouette Art

 

Hi everyone, it's me Finau and this is my silhouette art. This is my real one that I just finished. I painted the background blue and pink and blended it. Thank you to Mrs Stone for helping me learn the technique of blending colours! I cut out a few flamingo shapes from black card and glued it on. Here is the final artwork (look above). Me, Frida and the secret of the Peacock Ring - Home Learning #2

Hello everyone, it's me Finau and today I will be doing a post for my home learning activities. I couldn't find the original book I was reading so I chose to read this book I had like 2 years ago. You also might have seen this book in my other posts. We had to chose a book and read a chapter. Then we had to explain what happens in the chapter and write a prediction for the next chapter.

Paloma and her Mum Emma arrive at the airport. Paloma is really scared and nervous and starts saying that her friends said that there are kidnappers in Mexico and bad people. Mum says stop this nonsense. Mum then says that there will be people picking them up. A man shows up and stares at then for a while. Paloma is frighted and tires to tell Mum. They soon then realised that he is picking them up. The man and Emma tell her (Paloma) that she is there for 4 weeks and she is going to summer school or something like that so she can learn her language. 

I predict in the next chapter she is going to be really annoyed and sad because she seemed furious and shocked when she heard she had to stay there for 4 weeks and she is going to summer school or something like that so she can learn her language.

A Walk down Anderson Ave

Yesterday the year 7 and 8 extension went on a walk down Anderson Ave. So we are doing a project around Anderson Ave. There will be  fun activities to do so that's why we went there. My Experience from starting Youth

 

Hi everyone, it's me Finau and this post is about my experience about Youth. I just moved from Primary to Youth and so far, I'm enjoying every single bit of it. Yesterday we had a celebration to celebrate the new girls coming into Youth (which was me, Sesilia, Mele Manu, Mele, Fifita, Vika, Ana & Lose (it's pronounced lo seh). We revived a necklace and chocolate. We played a game and we were versing our parents in a spelling game. i don't know who won but it was probably a tie. The other photos were us playing actives and taking photos at one tree hill, bowling, a the park and much more. I am really excited for Youth and the new things that I will do. Thank you to my primary teachers for teaching me and my new Youth teachers for me kind and helping me out. (Sorry about he blury photos). I hope you have enjoyed this post. Attitude Talk (Who Am I?)

 

Hello everyone, it's me Finau and this post is will be about a talk we were given my a lady called Jana. She came to our school (well to our team, team 5) to talk about who we are. She came from the company called "Attitude". She started talking about herself and things that happen to her when she was young (which was very funny :P ).  After that she showed 4 different animals that had 4 different personalities. I was a dog who was the golden retriever. One thing she then showed us was really true and inspirational to me, it was 3 things that makes us who we are, Genes, Environment and Choices. What makes a good leader?

What makes a good leader?

What is a leader? A leader is a person who leads a group of people. A good leader is responsible, respectful and a role model. 

One way to be a good leader is to be respectful. You have to show respect to others and to yourself. How to show it is by listening, being kind and of course, respectful. 

Another way to be a good leader is to be responsible. They have to show it by helping others, helping them if they get hurt or cleaning up after others (if there is mess left behind). That’s a responsible leader. You are responsible for what they do because you are leading the group. 

A third way to be a good leader is to be a role model. Every leader has to be one. They need to show it and model it like listening, sitting up, showing kindness and to be respectful. They have to lead as an example. 

In conclusion, that’s how to be a good leader, being responsible, respectful and a role model.
