First Day Of School 2022!

 Hello everyone! My name is Finau and welcome to my blog/welcome back to my blog. Today was the first day of school Pt England 2022! YAY! 

I got to see my friends that I missed and met/saw a lot of new faces. There are some new year 7s in my class and there are still some of the old year 8s (which is me) in my class.

Today we first walked over to Te Kapua so that we could know which classes we are in this year. I was super pumped to be with my teacher again and be with my friends again and also meet some new people. We went over our class rules and home class things. For the rest of the day we did things with our table/group (my table/group is green) and did some quiet work.

Today was quite interesting, fun, and also quite chill. By the way we have a new class pet, a gold fish!

SLJ/WK 2 - Bridge Builder (bridge design IRL)

 Hi everyone! My name is Finau and welcome/welcome back to my blog. 

I created a bridge design and tried to make one outside. It was quite fun,challenge,interesting to do. I'm very glad I had a few of the materials. This is a draft that I'm still working on so I hope that this bridge gets done or built in the next few weeks. As you can see the structure isn't very strong. I still don't know if I'll get it done. Vaha and Catherine helped out on this one. Make sure to check out the video!

SLJ/WK 2 - Kick Off Activity: Bridge Builder

 Hello everyone! My name is Finau and welcome/welcome back to my blog. This is the Bridge Builder kick of activity. In this activity we had to build a bridge with the shapes above (Triangle, Curve, Rectangle) the spans to 30 cm. I might have to try this in real life but it might be quite hard. Literacy Planet (Review/Experience so far)

 Hi everyone! My name is Finau and welcome/welcome back to my blog. For the past (don't know how much weeks for it was pretty long) weeks my class has been doing literacy planet. It is a learning program about literacy. You are given practice tests and then a real test. If you get 100% then you get 10 gems. I have been improving and having so much fun using it. Google Game - Pizza

 Hey everyone! My name is Finau and welcome/welcome back to my blog! There is this new google doodle/game about Pizza. You are given a fraction or pieces and you have to cut the pizza to match the pieces or fraction. It was quite easy at first then we got quite hard. I got 16/33. I probably can do better buy I tried. Tech @ Tamaki Hard Materials - Mask

 Hello everyone, it's me Finau and welcome back to my blog! This week for hard material we made masks. Not ones you wear to keep safe/over your mouth and nose, one you probably use for a party or costume. Mr Grundy shared some of his designs and how to make one. We pressed a piece of paper against our nose and face. We got our pen and marked our eyes gently. We did some extra marking on the mask then cut it out. My ones did not come out as I expected but I continued making them. I improved just a bit. This activity was super fun. We laughed and shared our unique designs. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Happy Niuean Language Week!

Fakalofa Lahi Atu everyone, it's me Finau and welcome back to my blog. This week was Niuean Language Week. I learnt a lot of new facts and watched a few Niuean dances (school ones). Term 3 Highlights!

 

Hey everyone, it's me Finau and welcome back to my blog! 

I know I say all the terms have been busy and crazy but this one has been really crazy and busy. We were at school doing our learning and next thing you know, we are in lockdown! Most of this term we have been in lockdown. Lot's of us miss going school but at least we still get to talk to others and see our teachers and friends at our google meet. We had maths,literacy,electives,Te Whare Tapa Wha google meets (which were so much fun to attend to). We have had heaps of amazing sports players and Olympics medallist attend out meet. It was our honour to have them come. Thank you to the teachers for making this all happen, thank you to the parents for helping out at home, thank you to the sports athletes who attended are meet, and lastly thank you to all the children who came to the meets with a great attitude and a big smile on their face:D

Hello everyone, it's me Finau and welcome back to my blog! So today was my last in Stem/Science with Mrs Sharma. I have enjoyed all the lessons and learnt a lot of things. I know what a pollum tube is (it is something in a flower), I got to digest a flower, I made different types of bubbles (including cube bubbles, I learnt the science behind all the experiments I've done. My favourite lessons were Checking your heart rate, Making bubbles, and our last session/States of Matter. FACT: Did you know that the science behind a bubble, it's like a sandwich. The bread is the soap and the filling is water. That's why it can't change into a different shape, it stays as a circle. I learnt SO much things and I'm glad I did. We learnt everything is a fun way. My Easter Holiday

 

Hey everyone, it's me Finau and today this post will be about my Easter holiday. So on Friday my family and I had an Easter egg hunt! It was super duper fun. We looked around our backyard for eggs and there was also lollies. We tried to look for the Easter Bunny Chocolates and the Big Chocolate Eggs. We had a wonderful time and I hope you all did too.
