Hey everyone! My name is Finau and welcome to my blog/welcome back to my blog. This is the point perspective drawing kick off activity. This is quite similar to the forced perspective but this isn't photography, this is a drawing. I drew the hall way i my house. I've done drawing like this before and it looks really cool. I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog.
Mōrena Finau!
ReplyDeleteChris here again from the Summer Learning Journey.
You’re right, it is a very similar idea to forced perspective in that it makes you believe something is a certain way through positioning that isn’t real. Well done for that idea! I like the hallway, too. The doors definitely add a lot to the perspective of the image.
The only thing that’s different with one point is that everything is supposed to come together at a central point. Maybe next time try drawing something where all the lines come together at the same point, rather than at a line like they do at the end of a hallway. This is just a tip for next time, this post and this drawing are still awesome! What other things like this have you drawn before?
Looking forward to seeing your other posts this week!
Ngā mihi,
Chris
Hi Chris!
DeleteThank you for your comment. Yes agreed. I'm glad you like the hall way. Yes, I think that the doors do add a lot.
Oh okay, thank you for your tip. I've drawn the hall way at our school (the hallway in the junior yr 1 space). Its because on the one certain hallway there is a lot of paintings and art that were hung on the wall, and I know that hallway pretty good.
Thanks again,
Finau
Ka pai Finau, it's great that you enjoy being creative as much as you do. Ka kite ano!

It is me Quein again a blog commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. It is fantastic to see that you have completed the one perspective task, I think it is actually really creative that you thought of making one about your hallway. I Love the blue flooring in your hallway. It looks very detailed. One of the main things with one point perspective is that it has a vanishing point so i think if the door at the end of the hallway was smaller it could be used as your vanishing point. We really enjoy seeing your creativity, imagination and the tremendous amount of effort you put into your blog posts.
Interesting fact is that it was Filippo Brunelleschi an Italian architect in the 1400s that explored one point perspectives. What advice would you give your fellow bloggers who would like to give this a go?
Keep up the Super work we look forward to your next blog post!!!
Have a Super Summer!!!

Wow! That's really cool. If you have any trouble doing this activity (or any other) comment on the SLJ blog or search some ideas on one point perspective drawings or art.
