Column (Nanogirl's experiment/ Holiday Blogging)

Kia ora everyone, it's me Finau and this is my Holiday Blogging Challenge. This is one of Nanogirl's experiments. This is my second project. For this one we had to make a column and to see if heavy stuff could sit on it and not break. I had so much fun with this experiment and I hope you can try this at home. I also hope you enjoyed it. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Bye!

    2. Hi Mr Goodwin!

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. It was super fun and tricky doing the experiment. I had like 2 or 3 accidents when I was trying to balance the apples. The apples rolled of the table. Thanks again.

  3. Kia ora Finau, I can see you had lots of fun with this experiment!
Thanks for filming and sharing the different paper supports you created, it's always helpful to see what doesn't work as well as what does.
What do you think made the most difference so you were able to successfully balance all three apples?

    Keep having fun!

    1. Hi there Mrs Grant!

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. Yes I had a whole lot of fun doing this experiment. I would always record every experiment because I want you all (the blog viewers) to see my experiment. Well I watch the video and Nanogirl had rocks and stacked them up. I used apples and when I stacked them up it didn't work. I just did them in a line. Thanks again.

  4. Hi Finau,
I loved how you balanced two extra apples evenly on your structure to make sure that the weight was even. This is exactly what engineers to when testing things too!
Your videos are amazing and I love how much fun you are having.
Looking forward to meeting you soon!

  9. Malo e Lelei Finau,

My name is Sulia, and I attend Panmure Bridge school. Wow! I noticed that your work was one of the examples for The Nano Girls Activities. This is a very superior and advanced DLO of yours. I like that you have had this all orginzed and, from the video, I could understand that you had a lot of fun! I found this a bit challenging, Did you?

The only feedback that I have for is for you to check that the sound is clear, because in the video i couldn't hear you much so maybe next time try and recheck your video.

What are 5 words you would use to describe this challenge?

    Looking forward to your reply!

    1. Hi Sulia!

Thank you so much for your comment. Yeah I really loved doing her experiments. Of course I thought it was challenging. I agree with you, I know sometimes you can't hear me and that's not okay so I will try to make it a bit louder. Sorry.

I would say that this experiment was hard, fun, surprising, funny and weight (which I mean by different weights of the apple).

Thanks again Sulia for your comment and the feedback.
