Summer Learning Journey/Week 1 : Fishing False Teeth (literacy)

Hi everyone, it's me Finau and today I am doing the second activity for the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity we had to read a article and then watch a video. They weren't talking in the video, so we had to make our own comic and try to what they were saying. The part I liked was the video. It was sad at the start and funny at the end. Overall from my comic I'm proud of it (because I like it and it's funny). I hope you enjoy this blog post. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Bye!

  1. Kia ora Finau, My name is Honey from Marshland school and I am also a participant in the Summer Learning Journey!Your post is so cool! I love what you put in the speech bubbles, it was really funny! I also just did that task and I enjoyed it so much! Did you find the video funny? Anyway your post is really cool, I loved the part when he just called him a dummy and then realised that he was gonna stick it in his mouth. I would never do that 🤮. Next time you could add in more description about the task and maybe add in what you liked about it or what you found funny? I hope you have a awesome summer holiday. Bye!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. That's cool how you are also doing the summer learning journey. I found the video a bit sad at the start and very funny at then end. I would never put that in my mouth either. Thanks for the feed back and I will try to add more detail and why I liked it. Thanks again!

  2. Kia Ora Finau,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I thought this activity was really fun as I enjoyed seeing all the cool and funny comic ideas everyone came up with. I thought your comic was very well written and your script matched well with the images and the expressions of the characters.

Do you think your comic is similar to the original video?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

    1. Hey Zana!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I thought this activity was a great idea because we got to make our own comic! I'm so happy that you like my comic. I think that my comic was maybe similar? I was just caught up and made something funny but similar. Thanks again Zana.

      From Finau:)
