Kia ora everyone, it's me Finau and today I will be doing another activity for the SLJ. This is my 5th one I've done this week (week 2). This was about the weather and we had to try say it in Te Reo Maori. This was super fun because I did it with my sister Catherine. She made a mistake in the video (which was the step up activity). I hope you enjoyed this post and the activity. Please leave a positive comment on my blog. Bye!
ReplyDeleteKia ora Finau,
My name is Shannon and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.
Ka pai on your Te Huarere slide show and screen castify. I only recently began learning te reo too, so I found your blog post very helpful for understanding how to talk about the weather! I’m super impressed by your sentences and how you and your sister worked together to share your learning.
I am on holiday with my family so using your slideset I asked my mum, “He aha te tohu huarere?” She replied, “He rangi paki.” It looks like we might be going for a swim! What have been you doing over your summer break?
Ka kite anō,
Shannon (SLJ)
Hello Shannon!
DeleteThank you for commenting on my blog. I'm happy that you like my video and slideshow. Yeah I felt proud of myself when I tried to speak Te Reo Maori. It's really fun.
I think I might ask one of my family members that same question. I hope you have a great swim. I also do hope that my family and I get to play with our slip'n slide in our backyard. Haha!
I've just been doing blogging and spending time with my family.
Thanks again Shannon.
From Finau:)
Hi Finau,
DeleteMy swim was lots of fun! I went with my cousin, siblings, and my mum! My town has a community pool with lots of toys so it was a blast! Slip n slides are the best! My dad set one up on Boxing Day for my cousins and we spent the day laughing as they ran under the sprinkler and down the slide! Make sure you wear some sunscreen and a hat!
Are you enjoying the SLJ so far?
Bye for now,
Shannon (SLJ)
Hi Shannon. I am enjoying it and I'm happy that you enjoyed you swim.
