Whoosh and Ping
On Monday after a fun, hot lunch time, room 10 played a bunch of games about drama (it is because our theme for this term is Life's a stage). One of the games we played was and one of my favourites was Whoosh and Ping. How you play the game is that everyone has to get in a circle and when someone says ''Whoosh'' they pass it to the other person and they say it and they go around the circle until they get to the end of the circle or they could say ''Ping'' and go around the circle. What I learnt from it was that you cannot talk during the game, because if someone says Ping and you are talking you might make the next person say the wrong thing. The other thing I learnt was that you have to be dramatic and really act it out.

The 12 Pointed Star Game Maths
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Instructions
Each player chooses one, two or three numbers.
Players then take it in turns to roll two dice and add the scores.
The player who has chosen that number puts a counter on the appropriate circle. (So for example I'm playing with my friend Aye Myat. I choose 2, 4 and 6, Aye Myat chooses 7, 8 and 9. Aye Myat rolls the dice and it's a 4 and a 2 - so I can put a counter on 6.)
The winner is the first player to have counters on all three circles belonging to one of their chosen numbers.

Sick sentences
The man walked across the grass. The door opened.
There was a light.
The boring old man in his nightgown stepped across the grass. The door suddenly opened up wide. A bright shiny light shone out from the door.

This is my Sick sentence. I turned it into a good one. I hope you try this at school or home.

Time tables grid
Here is my time tables grid. I had to hid the grid and start on a new won. I was doing this so I can learn and practice my time tables. I hope you learn from this and I hope you can try this at home or school.
Adding detail
During the holiday, I went to the beach with my friends. We saw there was a volleyball net. We asked a family if we could borrow their volleyball. We played volleyball for about an hour then had some lunch. Before we went home, we gave the volleyball back to the family. I had a lot of fun at the beach with my friends.
Read this simple recount.
What do you notice about the recount?
That Miss West only used what she saw with her eyes not her ears, nose taste and what she felt. She also only used the word We.
What could we add to this recount to make it more detailed?
Using more interesting words like I saw this big huge volleyball net and showing more senses like what she could smell, taste, hear and feel.
Edit this recount above to make it more detailed:
During the holidays, I went to a sandy tropical beach with my besties. We saw in the distance far away a big huge volleyball net. We asked a nice kind family if we could borrow their volleyball. We played volleyball and when we felt it felt round and big and hard and every time I would hit the ball it feels so hard. We played for about an hour then had some lunch and it tasted so delicious that I wanted more and more. Before we went home, we gave the volleyball back to the king caring family everything there smelled so good, I could smell the salty water and the sunscreen on my skin. I had a blast at the beach with my besties.

Dimic blog post week 1 problem 1
This was my dimic blog post for this week. We were trying to figure out how many ways can we put the bins against the walls.
Answer Garden
This was one of my other writing tasks for this week. We had to write down lots of words about drama. And this was a brain storm from the whole class. I hope you enjoy reading.
Dangerous writing challenge
There were these crazy robots and they the hated other places around the world. No one like them. They got closer to Pairs and to other places and now today they are London and how are they going to destroy London. They thought and thought but didn't know. The thought about taking down building but they were to lazy they also thought about taking down the Eiffel tower in Paris. But no they wanted to do something else. They thought about nothing so they didn't do it. Just they sat there fixing things and helping and enjoying the amazing view in London.
This was my writing task for this week. I had to write about this crazy picture with robots destroying Paris. And I only had 5 minutes. I hope you enjoy reading.
